Our Mission Statement
Progressive Democrats
of America (PDA) exists to carry the progressive
agenda
from
the grassroots to congress to guide
the development of progressive
legislation, fight for its passage
into law, and support the realization of
progressive policies at
the national, state and local levels.

Our Goals for 2007
Progressive
Democrats of America nationally has celebrated its second birthday
and crossed important thresholds in the past year. We have chapters
in many states,
multiple chapters in some areas, and aim to have a chapter in every
Congressional
District.
For
2007, our national organization has set ambitious and important goals on
five
Issues. They are:
1 End the Occupation/Redirect funding *
2 Implement Health Care for All - Single Payer
3 Assure Economic Justice
4 Guarantee Clean, Fair, Transparent, Accurate Elections
5
Stop Global Warming
* Ending the occupation of Iraq may require Impeachment. This
may be the only
way we will be able to stop our nation's aggression
against others. To that end,
we have formed an Impeachment Working Group
Our
PDA Metro Chapter will, to the best of our ability, work to further PDA
aims, by
forming an Issue
Working Group on
each issue above. We now have a Leader for each
IOT. See Below:

democracy, it was crucial

1. Elect (progressive) Democrats to the Congress in our Districts
2. Ensure that our votes are counted in this election
