We
now have a new development. In my paper, The Straussians (above), I
suggested, "Look
out for Michael Ledeen". In its June issue, Vanity Fair
has published an article which
suggests the possibility that Michael Ledeen was involved in
the creation of the Niger
yellow cake document forgeries, which prompted Ambassador Joseph
Wilson's visit to Niger,
and the subsequent outing of his wife, Valerie Plame. This is the
subject of the Patrick Fitzgerald
investigation.

And another new development-Ledeen
suspected of involvement with new plans for Iran-
meets with Iranian arms dealer in Rome. Newly created Iran
Directorate established in the
Pentagon patterned after the Office of Special Plans, which came up with
the "intelligence"
to take us to War in Iraq. Straussian Abram Schulsky and other
neocons assigned to posts

Update Aug. 10, 2008 - Michael Ledeen Again?
On
Aug. 22, 2005, I sent the four papers above (Letter, PNAC, The Project,
and
The Straussians) to Special Prosecutor, Patrick Fitzgerald, with a cover
letter.
In the
June 2006 issue of Vanity Fair, author of "House of Bush House of
Saud",
Craig Unger, published his article, linked above, "The War They
Wanted, The Lies
They Needed". In it, he asserts that the intelligence community
points to Ledeen as
the individual responsible for the break-in of the Niger Embassy in
Rome.
This break in was done to obtain the official government letterhead
and seals to
create the yellowcake forgery. He further indicates that Ledeen was
most likely
responsible for the creation of the forgery itself. The
article is a fascinating read.
I sent that article with a cover letter and another copy of my
papers to Fitzgerald in
December as he prepared for Straussian Scooter Libby's January 2007 trial.
Now,
we learn of the "Habbush Letter", (another faked document) from
author
Ron Suskind, stating that Mohamed Atta trained for 9/11 in Iraq, was
ordered by Cheney to be created by the CIA. For me, this did
not fit. It smacked
of Ledeen's handiwork, but not through that channel. So how?
The
answer came when an article quickly appeared in the American
Conservative,
oddly enough, stating that Suskind had almost everything
right. What was wrong?
According the the author's intelligence source, the order went from Cheney
to the
Office of Special Plans, the Straussian bastion in the Pentagon
which ginned up the
"intelligence" to get us to war in Iraq.
According
to the intelligence experts, Ledeen was in and out of the Office of
Special Plans at will. And why not? He had decades
long ties to Cheney, Rumsfeld,
Straussians Scooter Libby (Cheney's Chief of Staff), Paul Wolfowitz,
Abraham Shulsky
(correction 8-13-08 from Eliot Abrams named in error-) and Douglas Feith, who created
and ran the Office under Shulsky..
Again,
why not? Strauss taught his followers that if you did not have
an enemy, you
had to invent one. And lying to the governed was
necessary. (See The Straussians)
The
dots connected - for me. I'm hopeful that these leads will be
followed to their
appropriate end.
